Andy began fishing in 1989, when he was 2 years old.

His family soon realized how serious he was about the sport, and when he was 4, Andy and his family (Mom, Dad, and little sister Brittany) moved from the city so Andy could be near his favorite fishing spots full time.

Andy began fishing competitively when he was a teenager.
He's a member of the NBAA nbaa-bass.com and CAG carpanglersgroup.com .

He has hosted several fishing workshops at Gander Mountain in Novi, Michigan, and was a featured speaker at the 2009 and 2010 Fishing Expos at the Suburban Collection Showplace (formerly the Rock Financial Showplace) in Novi, Michigan. Everyone from beginners to experts who are looking to branch out into a new type of sport have attended his seminars.

At the request of local teachers, Andy has taught several fish, insect, bird, and other wildlife related biology classes to middle school students on school sponsored field trips to the Huron River.

When he's not bass fishing, carp fishing, and ice fishing, Andy enjoys deer hunting with bow and arrow, and rabbit hunting with his beagles, Daisy and Casey.
